Pay out to a bank account
Adding a bank recipient, sending a payout, and what each status along the way means.
Bank Send moves money from your Fuzopay balance to a real bank account. It is the counterpart to your virtual USD account: one receives, the other pays out.
Before you begin
- Identity verification approved. The Vault card shows KYC required until then.
- An approved recipient. Adding a bank account and paying it are separate steps — "You need an approved recipient before your first payout."
Step 1 — Add a bank recipient
Open Vault → Bank Send → Add recipient.
You are asked who the account belongs to. The options are This is my own account, Independent contractor, Vendor or supplier, Subsidiary or affiliate, Merchant or partner, and Family member. This is a compliance question, not a formality — answer it accurately.
Then the account details, including the Account holder name and the address.
Important. The account holder must be entered "Exactly as the bank holds it." A name that does not match is the most common reason a transfer is rejected by the receiving bank.
A new recipient is reviewed before its first use — "Add a recipient and wait for it to be verified before sending a payout." While that runs, the card shows Pending review.
Step 2 — Choose who to pay
Bank accounts lists your saved recipients: "Select who to pay, then continue to enter the amount." On a new account it reads No recipients yet.
Step 3 — Enter the amount
On the amount screen you set what to send and see the exchange rate applied.
Two messages worth recognising:
- This is more than your available balance. — reduce the amount.
- Couldn't get a quote. — the rate could not be fetched. Try again shortly; nothing has been sent.
Step 4 — Review and confirm
Review shows the account holder, the account number, the rate, and an optional note for this payment that travels with the transfer.
Important. Your balance is debited now. Confirming is the point of no return, not the arrival of the funds.
You may be asked to Confirm it's you before it goes.
How long it takes
The rail depends on the destination, and each is labelled where you pick it:
| Rail | Timing |
|---|---|
| US domestic (ACH) | 1–3 business days |
| US same-day wire (Fedwire) | Business hours |
| US instant transfer | 24/7 |
| Euro bank transfer | 1–2 business days |
| International wire | Up to 5 business days |
Brazilian Real and Argentine Peso payouts are also supported.
Statuses after you confirm
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Payout started | Accepted and on its way |
| Converting funds | Your balance is being converted to the destination currency |
| Awaiting confirmation | Waiting on the network or the receiving bank |
| Payout under review | "Our payments partner is checking this transfer before it is released. No action is needed from you." |
| Payout failed | "We couldn't complete this payout. The amount has been credited back to your balance." |
| Payout refunded | The money came back to you |
A failed payout is not a lost payout — the amount returns to your balance.
Where to find it afterwards
Every payout appears in Transactions under Bank send, with its own detail view showing the account holder, account number and exchange rate.
Troubleshooting
"No approved recipient"
The recipient has not finished verification. Wait for it, or add one if you have none.
The payout is stuck on "Payout under review"
Our payments partner is checking it. There is nothing to do and nothing to resend — doing so risks paying twice.
It failed — where is my money?
Back in your balance. Check the amount matches before retrying, and re-read the account holder name against what the bank holds.
